When I found you under my porch, I didn't think you would survive. You took to the bottle well, though and you were my baby. I will never forget how you would reach up to me so I would pick you up or all the kisses you gave me. I had far too little time with you, Jack and I will miss you with all of my heart. You were the most loving cat I ever owned.

If tears could a stairway, and memories a lane, I'd walk
right up to heaven and bring you home again.
My dearest Jett, I miss you so much. I will always love you and hold you
dear to my heart. I miss your soft furry cheeks brushing against my cheek.
I miss you at night when it is time for bed, for I do not have a snuggle
bug anymore.

You were 9 years old when you came to live with me, and
I am so glad that you shared the last 5 years and 10 months of your life
with me.
You were happy and wagging your tail until the end. I love you and will
miss you forever.

Jimmy Jim Jim (Mister), 04/13/05
Jimmy was my best friend and soulmate. I could look into his eyes and know he loved me beyond that of a dog could feel. He was more human-like than some people I have known. With more devotion, honesty, compassion, comfort, and pure goodness than any living being I have had the honor to know. His personality was loved by all that met him. He always wagged his tail and tried to make everyone happy regardless of the pain he last endured in his final days with cancer. Jimmy came to me just short of eleven years ago. His approximate age was estimated at two or two and a half years of age which would make him around thirteen at his time of death. He was to be put down by the OC Dog Pound where his first owner just dropped him off because he didn't want him any longer. That person missed out on the greatest friend and a fuller happier life. Jimmy had obviously been abused showing scars on his face and ears, missing lower canine tooth with a large scar on his tongue (evidence of him getting kicked in the jaw) and was emaciated to the point that his complete spine and ribs were clearly visible as well as his pelvis. In short, he was a large jawed head attached to a stick. The Pound called a friend of mine that trains and breeds Bully Breeds. They asked if he would be interested in taking Jimmy because it was his last day in which he was to be destroyed. They said that his personality was so neat and super sweet that they were really trying to find someone to take him. My friend took him in hopes to find a home for him. Just so happens that my wife and I were looking for a dog to adopt...but a pitbull...no way! They are too vicious and what would the neighbors think! Our friend talked us into at least coming to see him (knowing that Jimmy's personality would probably win us over). I remember first seeing Jimmy and thinking that he was really beat up and looked super scary because of his big head and battle scars. There was a female pit up for adoption as well and she was in really great shape and had a good personality as well. Now we had a big dilemma. Which dog should we pick? We asked if we could sleep on it and give him an answer in the morning. So the next day he brought both dogs over to our house to see how they would interact in our environment. Both dogs were great. We started leaning towards the female because she was a lot healthier and would not require rehabilitation. I wanted to take them both, but the wife said no. So the girl it is...but wait, fate and compassion had hit us like a bolt of lightening. We said that we can't judge a book by it's cover and the dog that we came to look at was Jimmy in the first place. We have to go for the underdog. We can re-build him, nurse him back to health. Besides, he was always wagging his tail. Over the years my wife and I divorced, but I still had my real soulmate, my boy, my beloved Jimmy Jim. He has been devoted unconditionally to me until the day he left me to go to the Rainbow Bridge. I miss him so much, but I know deeply in my heart that we will meet again on that bridge and live for eternity together. J.J. is for Joshua Junior. He was a loving, beautiful Orange Tabby with a white star on his face, with a white point going up between his eyes...he loved to lay on my chest while on the couch, he came when called, knew his boundaries in the backyard and did not wander past them...gave us endless kisses whenever we wanted, and purred just from talking to him...he was the king of our castle and always took my spot on the couch...but I never minded...because he was the best kitty in the whole world...and will be missed by many...

Julia, you were my best friend after your cat sister,Gitta, passed on. In the evenings, you would chirp in my ear as you laid under the lamp next to the couch. You would groom my hair and make head bumps for affection. You came to me when I called your name, especially around meal times. You were a fighter until the end and I was glad to be there for you when you closed your eyes for the last time.
