Vixen, June 1997 - September 7,
2016
We lost our youngest and last cat Vixen. She was an awesome cat!
Friendly and sweet and loved everyone. She was black and fluffy
and had a lot of personality. She was the adopted baby sister to
our older cat Tazz who we lost about two years ago. She was a
great playmate for her and always managed to keep us entertained.
She grieved the loss of Tazz, but then got all the attention and
all the tuna scraps, which made things a little easier I'm sure.
She loved all sorts of food, steak, cheeseburgers, cups of cheese,
cream cheese, French fries, hash browns, chicken, tuna, butter,
and weird things such as pistachio ice cream and coconut cream
pie. Oddly enough, she hated shrimp (go figure). She would sit at
the kitchen table, or make her way on to the bench between my
husband and my daughter and wait to see what she might be dropped.
She begged for food like a dog and often acted like one. We would
refer to her as 'CatDog". Actually, they were both like that. If
she really wanted something, she was smart and knew exactly what
to do to get it. She would sit up, beg like a dog, put her front
paws up and bent with her fluffy tail, she looked like s squirrel!
It was so cute and something she had been doing since she was a
kitten begging for treats and still worked every time. We got
Vixen as a 7-week old kitten and we were lucky enough to have her
in our lives for 19 years. I remember the first time I saw her.
When I picked her up she fit in the palm of my hand and she stole
my heart from that moment on. We couldn't ask for a more loving
cat who was very social and was truly a part of our family.
Although losing her is very sad and came way too soon, we will
celebrate her life and she will live in our hearts forever and we
will never forget her or all of the love and joy she brought to
our lives. We will miss you sweet kitty.
Love,
Mommy, Daddy and Rachel
