My little Man Teddy! Our hearts are broken. We miss you so
much. You were truly a gift from Heaven. Little Teddy came into
our lives three days before Christmas 2013. He was a rescue puppy.
My husband found him walking along a busy road on his way to the
job site. The little guy was wearing an XL red Christmas sweater.
My husband and the guys he was working with had taken a
break for lunch when they saw Little Man walking on the busy side
road. It was a cold, wet dreary day, the temperatures in the 30's.
My husband said he and the Little Man, made eye contact (they were
driving in the opposite direction). My husband told the guys
riding with him that if the little guy was still there, he would
pick him up on the way back.
Instead, when my husband returned from lunch
and drove up into the parking lot of the job site Little Man
walked up to the work van. My husband called to tell me he found
the Little Guy walking on the side of the road and wanted to know
what to do. He said the little Man was soaking wet, dirty,
and smelled of urine. I told him to take the Little Man to the
nearest Vet office to check for a chip.
Once he got to the Vet hospital in the area, he
called again to say the Little Guy didn't have a chip and there
were no reports of a missing dog. Since it was several days before
Christmas, the Vet said they would send the little Man to an
animal shelter.
I asked my husband to put the nurse on the phone. I ask the
nurse to take care of the Little Man and that my husband would
pick him up on his way home. The Vet stated they don't know how
long the little Man had been out on his own, but he was clearly
dehydrated and would need an IV for fluids and a serious bath. I
asked her to give him a flea bath and let us know if there was
anything else he needed so Little Man could come home to us.
Little Man was such a blessing to our family. He had two
older sisters, Sable (a 13-year-old) Pomeranian and Gracie the big
kitty. I nicknamed my furbabies the Posse. We named the Little Man
Teddy McNair Lalik, his middle name after the school he was found
at.
Teddy was very shy and timid in the beginning. It became
apparent that whoever dumped him had mistreated Teddy terribly. It
took him about six months to open up and to let us love him. He
often sat under the kitchen table watching our every move. But it
didn't take long for Teddy to discover he was in his Forever Home.
Teddy helped us through our grief after my Sable girl passed away
from Adrenal Cancer. He and Gracie became friends and often laid
together.
Little Man traveled the entire east coast. He
was born in North Carolina, and travel NC to Washinton DC to the
Florida beaches, to his final resting place in Missouri. Teddy had
a seat on the console of his Daddy's truck and a car seat in his
Momma's car. He loved to stick his head out the window. Teddy
loved his walks, and he could put some miles those little feet,
walking/hiking national state parks and lakes, to running free in
the fenced in school yards near his home and his uncle's farm.
It's been two weeks since our Little Man passed from
this world into the arms of our Father in Heaven. Teddy had
completed his assignment though we wish we could have had another
ten years. He was our Little Man. He loved Us as much as we Loved
him. We gave him the life he deserved, and he gave us the
companionship we longed for. He filled our hearts to overflowing
with his love.
We miss you, Teddy. We miss our morning/nightly
routine, our walks, the huddle-cuddles, car rides, shopping trips
to the pet store, Home Depot, and ice cream/hamburger
joints. There are times the grief swallows us and others, we find
ourselves smiling at your sweetness and the closeness we shared.
You were the four-legged boy we always wanted.
You are Momma's baby and Daddy's boy always and forever.
The house feels empty and lonely without you, and it's hard to
sleep at night without your furry little body cuddled next to us.
We love you Little Man forever.
We created a memorial garden for you in front of the
house (in the flower bed where you liked to pee). We planted a
beautiful dwarf, Korean violet tree. The color reminds us of
you. We planted two yellow rose bushes on each side in remembrance
of your furbaby sisters Sable and Tabitha. We wake up each morning
with a hello, good morning to our furbabies.

My darling sweet Tedi,
You were so misunderstood. I remember the first time I met you I
realized you were softly growling at me (!) Nobody told me you had
“issues”. You were so funny. You wouldn’t let any of the other
dogs get close to me. You knew we were meant to be together.
You chose me and I’m so glad you did. You turned into such a
sweetheart who just wanted to LOVE everyone (almost!). God you
were so cute. You grabbed my pant leg sometimes and I was
powerless to stop you- I was laughing too hard.
You got me through my moms death- you gave me a reason to keep
going. Im so sad now that you’re gone. I really feel like I saved
you from suffering. I was so nervous and couldn’t stand seeing or
hearing you in pain. I love you so much.
I told you- no more vets, no more car rides, no more meds-we were
done. You jumped up and licked my face, like you knew what I
said and you were happy about it.
You will never be replaced. You are my funny girl, now and
forever. I love you so much my darling Tedi. Thank you for
choosing me and lighting up my life and making it so much fun.

will miss her until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge, take care
Tia, we will be together again soon.
Tinley, March
28, 2013 - November 5, 2023
We lost our Golden Retriever Tinley on November 5, 2023. She
stole all of our hearts. She was the best! She had
some goofy ways, but that is what made her unique. She loved
our pool. The minute we would open our drawer to get our
suits on she would know she was going to have a pool day and her
day was going to be great! She loved when we had pool
parties. Everyone always had to be in the pool or she
wouldn't be happy. The skimmer in the pool was Tinley's easy
bake oven. She would love making all of us pies. She
would play with the skimmer for hours. Tinley was the best
diver we knew. She would go to the bottom and get her
toys. We all are sure going to miss her she was the best
Chunky Lady anyone knew. Love you TT
Toney,

To the best boy ever. So gentle and loyal. You didn't have enough
good years, but you deserved them. How I will miss my boy. You
loved absolutely everyone. If they had known you, they would have
loved you, too. Rest in peace, Big Boy. I will love you forever. I
hope you are with India, your BFF. I love you little man. I love
you.
Torby, 2003 -
January 27, 2023
To our sweet lady Torby (neé Sandy),
While we knew very little about your homes & lives before
meeting, we had the honor of spending your third act together as a
family, and we hope that you were as happy in those rich &
wonderful six years as your sweetness & companionship made us.
Our lives changed forever that sunny October afternoon in 2016
when you chose us — from the moment you waltzed out of the carrier
and fearlessly toured your new domain, to cautiously learning to
trust, to training us well and becoming the bossiest of bossy
ladies — we never anticipated falling so thoroughly &
blissfully in love with you. Your breathtaking beauty impressed
all who met you, but your spark & intelligence &
fully-developed character is what made those who got to know you
instantly create a Torby-sized place in their heart.
Words fall short of embracing how we miss you, and we still
haven't accepted your absence. Let Pants and Uggah show you around
the other side — you all will have lots of stories to share. If
your spirit is so inclined, stick around and be our shadow
roommate — we'll keep your sunny spots warm for you.
Thank you for being our loving friend; for trusting us with your
care, your comfort, and your happiness; and for sharing what we
hope were your happiest years with us. We'll forever wish we'd had
more time, but we're forever grateful that we were granted the
time we had.
We love you and we miss you so, so much,
Hoomin Dad & Hoomin Mom <3
