Willow started out as a foster - she had two puppies in a hollowed
out tree - we went down there with the rescue group to get her and
the puppies - there was another dog there that looked a lot like
Willow just bigger and huskier - the rescue group was able to
catch the second dog a couple of weeks later and that's when they
found out that the dog was a she - they figure it was Willow's pup
from her first litter that never left her - She was named Zaney
and another couple in the rescue fostered her until we got the
puppies adopted out - we then brought Zaney in to foster her as
well - They were so happy to be back together that we ended up
adopting both of them 10 years ago
Willow's whole world was her family - she protected the house and
us with all of her heart - when I would leave she would wait by
the front door and get so excited when I came home - She loved her
walks - Before the arthritis got really bad she wanted at least
two a day and she insisted that we sit on the benches to keep an
eye on everything in the subdivision
We miss her so much
